Township Wide Clean Up and Scrap Tire Recycling Day

There will be Two 40 yard dumpsters at the London Township Hall on Saturday Oct 2 until full or Oct 15th! No concrete, asphalt, rocks, earth or similar material is allowed.  Also no hazardous chemicals, and batteries. These dumpsters are for the residents to clean their properties and homes of junk, trash, and rubbish, and for those residents who volunteer to clean up the ditches and roadways.
There will also be one, possibly two semi-trailers at the Township Hall to take tires. If you got scrap tires lying around, have pulled them from the ditches and roadways, or will pull them from ditches or roadways, you can bring them! 10 Tires per load rim or no rim, passenger car and passenger truck tires only. No semi or tractor tires. We are able to do this event thanks to grant awards from the State of Michigan and The Greater Milan Area Community Foundation.
We hope you take advantage of this event to continue to make the township clean and beautiful. If you property is already clean and beautiful, get out and help a neighbor, or a friend clean up their property, and the ditches and roadways. A little bit of effort from a lot of people will do amazing things!

Job Description

Scrap Your Junk Vehicle for a Good Cause

London Township Residents and Property Owners,

Thankfully it's that time of year where the sun shines more, the trees bud, and we can put the winter clothes away. It’s also that time of year where we start thinking about outdoor activities, spring cleaning, home improvements, and other things to help us improve the enjoyment of our homes and properties. For you it may be finally putting up that fence, building that barn or addition to your house, or having a pool installed for the family to cool off on those brutal summer days. As a courtesy we would like to remind you to please include a call or visit to your township hall as part of your planning process to see if the improvement you want to do needs a permit. If so we will be more than glad to guide you through the process, and if you dont need one, that is one less worry for the warmer weather.

We at London Township Hall wish you all a safe and joyous spring full of fun, excitement, peace, love and hopefully no permits!

To find out if you will need a permit:
